Instructions
- 1. Enable Power to start the experiment.
- 2. Circuit Setup: Connect a resistor in series with an LED and the power supply. Connect the voltmeter in parallel across the LED and the ammeter in series to measure current.
- 3. Measure Threshold Voltage: Slowly increase the voltage from the power supply until the LED just begins to glow (the threshold or knee voltage, V). Note this voltage and ensure the current is very small (near zero).
- 4. Repeat for Different Colors: Repeat step 2 for LEDs of different colors (red, green, blue, etc.) to get several (V, λ) pairs.
- 5. Data Collection: Record the threshold voltage (V) and the known peak wavelength (λ) for each LED.
